Pringles caps make perfect wine glass covers to keep fruit flies out

Fruit fly trap:
Get a glass. Put a bit of apple juice in and maybe a splash of cider/wine vinegar.
Stretch some cling film over the top and stab a few holes in with a metal skewer.
Give it a few days and all the fruit flies will be in there and you can put the lid back on the Pringles.

Whilst we know train stops get cancelled, today, my 13:51 Battersby train passed my chosen stop, Heworth at 15:45.
They had cancelled the 15:46 stop ('running late') yet it was in fact passed 1 minute early. No big deal, getting off at the next stop, Newcastle is fine for me. But for that, the strange incident would have had me more than cursing.

My father grew up in Holbeck, Leeds. It wasn't until recently that I noticed there's a beck called Hol.

I had been living down the valley from Littleborough and Rochdale for years before I discovered that the river Roch runs along it! (It is tiny and not named on my OS maps, but the name is shown on the Open Street Map.)

In fact, I have just realised that I had never even seen the river. I just checked on Streetview where the A58 crosses the river in Littleborough, and... there it is! I am always watching the busy road there and had not even noticed that I cross a bridge.

To me it looked like his standard setup has his knees coming up above the bars. Personal opinion but I'd have said that was too low in the first place. Happy to be shot down, especially as I now have evidence to back me up. 😉
