Air brakes are on by default. Compressed air is used to move the brake shoes away from the drums so that the wheel can rotate.
I never knew that. It does make sense from a safety standpoint, brakes " failing " to the on position.

It seems that Greepeace are/were surrounding Dogger Bank with large boulders essentially creating a conservation arena (prevents sea bottom trawling).
That essentially means installed wind turbines will do something quite similar. So yet another plus for green energy.
I've just found out that our local Greggs doesn't sell loaves of bread. I had assumed that they would as a Baker, but it's only sandwiches, cakes and pies. (I normally use our local Coop but they didn't have their normal morning delivery this time)

You can make curried beans by stirring a teaspoon of curry powder into a can of baked beans and adding a few sultanas. They're a fraction of the price.
Add a teaspoon each of chilli, cumin and crushed clove of garlic to BB and you have chilli beans.
Have you actually tried that or is it just an idea ?
It sounds nice.
I have a can of beans n sausage in the cupboard.....i might try it.
Used to do it frequently when skint. Put on top of a bed of rice and you have a very cheap meal.

It is what I do, and it is great!Have you actually tried that or is it just an idea ?

I save money by buying Lidl or Aldi own brand, and then attack any taste issues by major modifications***!
*** I add a couple of chopped hot chillis, crushed garlic, curry powder, and mixed herbs. After that there is nothing left of the original taste!![]()
