It seems that of the rich millionaires, people like Jeremy Clarkson are in a minority.

Never assume, though we do.

How do you know he isn't among the majority?

He opposes the changes to inheritance tax, but that of course is not a tax he pays, it will be paid out of his estate before his heirs get it.

I've just discovered what a UPRN is.

I have just discovered that the Calder Valley is secretly bilingual - the languages being English and Welsh!
The signs around Haworth are in English & Japanese. (They're big fans of the Brontes.)

I am meant to have lost approximately £3750 per year income, according to AI.
Lucky for me, it is a mean average so my loss will be small.
I will Leave it at that.

That people actually like watching f**tball!!

I played in my youth but was never "into" the professional game. I do understand how people like it, but I just don't get how obsessed some people are with it. My brother in law for example, goes to every home game and some of the closer away games. Not even family time can get in the way of his precious football. I just don't get it. You don't see rugby or Tennis fans being so obsessed!

It's ok in small amounts (very small), but yes, generally I can take it or leave it.

The only time I enjoyed football was during a spontaneous kick about using a half deflated ball, with Beautiful Daughter (11) last time we were on the village playing field. She'd giggle every time the ball came her way.
She thinks I let her win, but as I told her: I really am that bad...

Really? There's less tribalism in rugby and tennis, but fans will follow their favourites all over the world.

Football is an easy thing to slag off, due to it's ubiquitous nature and popularity, but it's a simple game. And at the highest level probably the most tactical going.

I'd not lose time with my family over it, although I have enjoyed going with them. Maybe your brother in law needs to get them involved?

It's also a great time to go cycling because everyone is watching the game: normally busy roads are wonderfully quiet.

Also, after my experience of it in school, the fact that I'm "missing" a football game adds to my enjoyment of the ride.
