Using a tyre lever to put a tyre back on can cause a pinch puncture. I did it for 15 years without any problems then I suddenly had two in the last week.

I use the VAR tyre tool, great for getting 'tight' tyres on.

VAR for really difficult tyres. Otherwise Bontrager or Park tool. Tyre Glider OK for tyres that wouldn't have been too hard anyway.

Someone explained that to me over 30 years ago, which put an end to a week of pinch flat torment!

My tip: Make sure you don't nip the inner tube when putting a tyre back on. As a beginner I got a puncture every day for a week on my commute. An experienced cyclist checked my tyre for sharp objects sticking through - there were none. he then asked how I replaced the punctured tubes. It turned out that I was using tyre levers in a very careless way and damaging the new tubes which then failed a few hours later.
