The man on the cover of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' was actually set on fire. It wasn't done using trick photography.

Donald Trump really does pronounce 'China' as though it starts with a 'j'.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain. Always puzzled me, with my wonky colour vision, why blue got a whole three letters. Violet and Indigo are just kinds of blue. (Well they are to me) Yet there are a load of different kinds of reds and greens and they don't get their own letters.

No point telling me I'm wrong. I won't understand, because of my poor colour vision.

There are seven colours in a rainbow to make it analogous with the seven notes in a musical scale. Most people can only see six.

So it should be something like…

What about the Pentatonic* scale as opposed to the Heptatonic scale

* 5 notes

That's something else I didn't learn or get near to understanding. My grandmother tried teaching me tonic solfa. I have since mastered the tonic.
I just googled the rest of it and feel I need to cut down the tonic and boost the gin

Mine is the sort of voice that needs support. Usually about 20000 to cover for me.
It's being mixed race, Belgian, Welsh, itinerant and Brum.
All poor but mostly honest. Except the murderer and the sailor.

Well, I never knew that.
As a child we had R O Y G B I V drummed into us.

I could never remember that one

until someone reversed it to

then I could remember both

when I was a teacher I did a cover lesson for Year 11 Science just before GCSE exams
they were doing past papers and there were questions about planets and rainbows

It took a LOT of willpower to prevent myself telling them the above way of remembering the rainbow!!!!

they also did not know the order of the planets (this was a bottom set!!)
I found My Easy Method Just Set Up Nine Planets
which include Pluto

so I changed to My Easy Method Just Set Up Nine Planets - then take one off because pluto is no longer a planet only a dwarf one

whcih taught them the orders - and the fact that dwarf planets exist and that Pluto is one

apparently this came up in the exam and they remembered what I said because it was so stupid

Which was nice to hear - one of them also said - "Yeah - you should see some of his IT lessons" - wasn;t so sure about that bit

but it was also the first time I have ever been able to remember the order of the planets

Was this before Venus was invented?
