Altogether now "Oh yes it is!"
His insurance has followed his lead and said "oh no it isn't". Hopefully the video will change their minds into "oh yes it is".

The police are frickin' useless. They, if they decided to get off their arses, are only interested in criminal offences. They aren't interested in anything else. As you are a cyclist they just can't be ar$ed as your experience has shown. If you would like the driver prosecuted or sent on a driver awareness course then you need to make a complaint as it sounds as if they have already fobbed you off big time and are not prepared to do anything which leaves only your civil remedy which is suing the driver for damages - personal injury and damage to your bike plus other losses and expenses. Your solicitor will pursue this for you. I tried to get insurance details out of Cambridgeshire Police for a driver who knocked me down but they were obstructive, refusing citing "Data protection" and rude refusing to give me the driver's insurance details despite me having a legitimate need for them to make a claim. I didn't get anywhere until I instructed a solicitor who told me they charged £80 for providing insurance details of the driver's insurance when it is actually a legal requirement for them to do so where another party legitimately requests them. So go figure - who are the crooks?

My advice is make a complaint to the Chief Constable making sure you name the police officers or their civilian staff who you have dealt with that have failed to carry out their duties to properly investigate the RTA you were involved in.
