Appologies if this info can be found elsewhere on the forum but I'm wondering what would be the best types of maps to use to cover a trip for charty from Milton Keynes to Warrington.

I have planned the route using ViaMichelin, I will be cycling through:
Buckinghamshire
Nothamptonshire
Warwickshire
Staffordshire
Cheshire

Will the A-Z County Atlas do for each or maybe the Great Britain Super Scale Road Atlas (2.5 miles to 1 inch) to cover the lot.

I was thinking of the OS Landranger maps but would need to buy about 12 to cover the journey!!

Thanks in advance

Whatever you are comfortable with is the correct answer.

I've done Land's End to John O'Groats and back on separate rides using only pages torn out of a motorists Atlas. 2.5 miles to inch sound like the scale that I used.

Great thanks. I think I'll find one in a book shop and see if the detail is adequate for me before I buy
