Due to a change in employment and requirements of the new company I am being forced to buy a new car.
I am replacing a well used VW Passat Estate which has been fantastic. It has taken everything that my children, my bikes, my camping gear, my dogs and my need of lugging stuff around (butler sink and worktop collected from Leicester, welsh dresser collected from Hull, 8 guitars, 3 amps and a drum kit from Glasgow, a concrete coal bunker delivered to Doncaster to name but a few- all from or to South Essex) and it has never missed a beat. Always starts first turn of the key and has actually been the best car I have ever owned - which may say more about the previous cars I have had than I would otherwise let on.
I am thinking of replacing it with a Skoda Superb Estate and would like to know anyone's experience with the Skoda. Will it be as good a car as my Passat has been for the last 8 years that I have owned it and the 6 years the previous keeper had it for to (yes 14 years old and only 2 owners).
Thanks in advance for any advice.
