I've just brought my bike back from Portugal using a Scicon Aerocomfort 3 bag. It's a soft bag so a bit lighter. Bike plus bag and some stuff inside was less than 20kg.

I would recommend adding a load of bubble wrap too - especially around the derailleur. I used additional foam padding too from the box my bike was originally delivered in.

I unpacked it this morning, all perfect.

Maybe unbolt the derailleur and let it 'float'.

If using a soft bag, or cardboard box, I would recommend using some foam pipe insulation to protect the frame. This type of stuff, which is available from B and Q or similar type shops. It's easily cut to required lengths, slips on easily (it's open on one side and closes around the pipe/frame), weighs nothing, and will protect against scratches and minor dings.
