Okay, so here's the situation.

I have been playing cricket for 4 seasons now and i feel like it's getting a bit boring and i'm not that interested anymore. I have started a new hobby (road cycling) which i do with 2 of my mates that play in the same cricket team as me. I am thinking of quitting the team but i feel like i would lose some of my friends so staying in the team would be good for social reasons and getting out and meeting people. I would say that i am fairly average in the team, i am not the key batsman neither am i the best bowler so if i did drop out it's not like the team would start losing. I just don't want to quit and then i can't join in with conversations like have done.

Let me know what you think.

Sounds like you're thinking out loud. Trying to clarify things in your mind.
Think about what you want to do the most. What excites you the most.
Then do it. Follow your heart.
You may have to make a sacrifice or two but which of the options will make you happier.
Decide that then go for it.
Be happy.

If your "friends" only socialise with you because of your links with cricket, then I suspect that they are not friends at all.

If you're not focussing on specific techniques in the winter nets then it can be a grind. There's sometimes a lot to be said for taking a sporting sabbatical, particularly as cricket is very much an outdoor game. And if, on a glorious early summer's day, you cycle past a village green game and get that twinge, that might be the time to call an end to your break.

There's nothing wrong with a change of sport. If you are in your twenties or thirties you'll have plenty of testosterone and you'll make a good cyclist; you might find you enjoy the club scene rather than solitary cycling or riding with a buddy.

Pssst: wanna buy a bike? I've got a new condition road bike (Bianchi Nirone C2C) in 55 cm size for sale, 700 notes to you guv, cost nearly £1000 new.

What do you expect anyone on here to say..? "Stick to the cricket"..?

Aye

Can you "manup" in cricket?

Do they have Strava for cricketers?

Can you wear hi vis in cricket?

Do you get to shout at people you don't know in cars when [verb?] "cricketing"?

Can you wear a camera whilst cricketing?

Nah, feck cricket off, it sounds dull.
