I guess what you studied was not evolution as that's not how it works at all

Yes it can. You may not like it, but yes it can. Again, it appears you do not understand evolution.

Well I'm not an expert. But the main problem I have, is where did the first atom come from? Was it just simply there?

If anyone wishes their point to be believed by others, then it has to be open to review. If you don't care whether anyone believes it or not, then you don't need to. So either it needs to be able to be reviewed and tested else it is your own made up story for you to believe as you choose. It appears the bible's account is your own made up story for your amusement.

There is scientific evidence, I agree. The big bang may not be the final answer, but the alternatives use scientific evidence and put forward a case for peer review. What process and scientific evidence does the bible put forward?
I can't prove anything, but if I could then it wouldn't be a faith anymore. I might find I'm wrong at the end but I highly doubt it. Christianity isn't about science or a set of rules or about judging everyone who doesn't believe. Christianity is about a relationship with Jesus Christ, he's like a friend to me and daily gives me peace and joy. My faith saves me from myself and gives me hope for the future. What I believe is reinforced by how I feel and that daily I see God working in my life.

No, the big bang nicely explains how the first atoms were formed. It does not explain how the big bang came into creation, I grant you.

However, as so much of what has been explained in the bible has turned out to be false, it is unlilkely that Christianity (or any other religion) managed to get that one small part right and everything else so wrong.

It may turn out there's beings creating the universe, but from all evidence put forward and what has been presented by faiths so far, religion as we know is is simply not it. Therefore believing in supernatural beings may have some logic, but not any of the text which forms the majority of teachings as there's simply no evidence for it to be true

I'm not trying to force anyone to believe what I believe. Of course I would like it if anyone did, but that's up to them. Notice however that I don't mock atheism or evolution or say it's rubbish unlike the flak Christianity has been getting here. I for one don't believe it's right to mock other people's beliefs.

Well thank goodness he's working in your life, shame he doesn't in the billions who are suffering through no fault of their own in the world.

I never said I don't suffer, did I? And actually, God provides food and water and health everyday to the majority of people. But I apologise if it sounded insensitive, I have nothing against you or anyone else who I am disagreeing with. I may believe what I think is right, but I don't doubt many of you are finer humans than I am.

Just the majority of people, so he loves the remainder less?

review maybe...but not necessarily scientific review, the belief in your love for another doesn't have to be scientifically proven.

that said, right now approximately 4,200 religions exist in the world.

so approximately 4199 must be false?

We have every right to mock other people's beliefs and they have every right to mock ours.

Anyway, if this God exists, who created him and why did he bother creating us?
