After some stiff soled shoes...suggestions please

You know when someones a bad shopper. You go all about town and end up back in the first shop you went in after 8 hours .........

I just go into the first shop and if the price is reasonable (compared to the net) I just buy them and go cycling instead; 8 hours at the shops aggh

Get one of the FiveTen range:-

or choose another type of trainer or skate shoe and have the stealth rubber soles added:-

and use them with some big BMX style platforms with pins, the big platform should make a stiifer sole less essential, but the Fivetens are pretty stiff anyway.

I do like those Exustar shoes, particularly the SRT 707 44 model. If I can find something like those at clearance prices then I'd be chuffed. Dreaming aren't I?!

Was ideally after something less trainer-ish than mtb shoes. I like the FiveTen Scofflaw shoe, it looks like it'd do the job, but I haven't yet found a price.... if you have you ask then you can't afford!

Going to have a look around a few local cheap/2nd hand shops next week... I may get lucky!

skechers shoes/trainers generally have a hard sole and are perfect for cycling.

Some of the Skechers do look good, can't decide which I'd prefer.

The Aldi ones look worth a punt too. I'll have to wait for them to show up in France as we don't have the same sale dates here as in the UK.

I tried my old Shimano SH-M020 shoes out this afternoon, they'll do the job just fine in the interim.
