Aftermarket kickstands for Brompton...what about them?

Real-world input would be nice...the Missus is really tearing her mudguard and rollers up and has expressed interest in a stand. At the princely price of most of them I'd like to know a bit more BEFORE I buy.

Anyone using one of the 3 or 4 available purpose-built Brompton stands for a more traditional parking experience?

Just fit a rack, that's what its purpose really is.

I have used 3 stands: cheap for 16" off Ebay, Minoura and Kamoya. All have worked well enough. Right now I have 2 on the bike, rear-mounted Minoura and center-mounted Kamoya, in order to support a bike with heavily loaded T-bag. If were to go with one, I would presumably go with Minoura.

A kickstand will be lighter than a rack.

That's true, @steveindenmark; however a rack helps enormously with wheeling the bike whereas a kickstand does nothing.

I also cannot see the point of a kickstand when you can just fold the back wheel up...
upgrade from the standard rollers to the eazy wheels, makes it much more stable when flicking the back wheel up into the 'park' position.

Not interested in wheeling the bike, just parking/standing it.

Back to my original question, and not the merits of the “fold” for parking but to any aftermarket kickstands. Looks like 1 vote for Minoura so far.

None at all for the fold. It does interfere with pump. I have a Lezyne pump with a flexible hose in the seat tube.
