Aftershave!

Cant be doing with the stuff personally...I mean what could possibly smell sexier than all those pheromones after a long ride

OK its that time of year again when we're all thinking, "maybe I should start doing some christmas shopping". Well I am .
Him in doors has just said don't buy me anymore cycle shirts or clothing in general so I'm stuck on what to buy him. I always try to buy him something he doesn't expect and as he doesn't wear aftershave I thought I might treat him to some.
He says he doesn't like wearing it yet he always comments on his mates when he's been on a lads night out.
So begs the question; What would you recommend boys?

I like the mens range of smelly stuff that the Body Shop do...not too expensive or overpowering in the pong department and good quality

Perfume doesn't react with body chemistry; it's very stable chemically. What happens is that everybody has a different odour, partly thanks to the food they eat so some perfumes don't work with some body odours. In the Indian subcontinent people smell spicy so very little oriental perfume like Opium or Shalimar is sold, mostly people use light florals.

That's sort of what I meant I think. Perfumes don't always smell the same on all people.

If anything, mine smells of welding, or angle grinding, or perhaps woodshavings....

I'm quite partial to the smell of hot steam and engineering oil, but NT doesn't like even that to be too overpowering...

I bought himself a bottle of the black pepper aftershave from Molton Brown and couple of years ago and he also uses the shower gel and it's gorgeous and smells very manly. Unfortunately he doesn't use enough of it so I struggle to smell it. I'm the opposite and drown myself in perfume. I'm the person on the tube that everyone else hates

I don't feel dressed without aftershave, faves are Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier (refered to as Eau de tart in this house) or the classic citrus Eau Sauvage by Christian Dior. Problem is that it get's expensive so more recently have been using various products by Paul Smith which are much cheaper and very nice or whatever the special deals are at the airport!

It's not aftershave, but Green People do a really nice range of mens "grooming products" which I've been really pleased to receive in the past and I'm now disappointed if I don't get some in the christmas stocking. It's not cheap, but not stupid expensive either, they are organic, nicely packaged and just really good products. The women in my house (wife and daughter) approve of the smell too.

It's not in their mens range, but I rate their unfragranced sun cream as the best I've ever used.

Love that, prefer the 'Extrem' version. Daily use is Cool Water by Davidoff and I've just got into a bottle of Londinium from Molton Brown.

Norm, Cool Water is technically an interesting perfume because it uses raw materials with names like Calone and Precyclemone B, which were normally used in fabric conditioners and airfresheners to give a hint of marine freshness but in Cool Water they are at unprecedentedly high dosages. Nobody has ever done that before in a fine fragrance but the result is extraordinary, as you'll agree. Cool Water spawned a whole new family of fresh ozonic marine fragrances.
