Hello. No number(s) on either of the rear dropouts either. The only clue is a 3 speed sturmey archer hub, with numbers 56 4.
I appreciate that this may not be the original hub but I have gone over the bike thoroughly and can't find any other numbers.

Nothing really. It was the hub on the bike when I bought it. I just thought that it's possible it's not the original hub.
Its a 3 speed changer so it looks like it's right.
Could the bike be the same age as the hub?

I wouldn't of thought there would be many bikes about with a 1954 hub. So it could be an original.
