Aggggghhhh....first club training night this season...

    Tonight was our club's first "Aussie Pursuit" training night, only 1 lap (11 miles) rather than 2 when lighter.
    I cycled down (6 miles) in a mega wind, rode with the slow group, got gently dropped after about 5 miles, had a pain in my lower left back and generally got fed-up with the chuffing wind.
    11 miles covered at 18.5 mph average on a flat's a start I suppose, 6 cold miles home. Seemed flipping hard work, best is 22 miles at an average of 20 mph, not mega performance, but need to keep my HR down due to dodgy ticker.
    Roll on the next session!
    Now to devour half a box of cornflakes before bed!
    Tired but happy ;)

    Well done, FF, it's a start and by the sound of it not in very good conditions. The fitness and weather will surely get better as the seaon unfolds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    went out tonight with a mate for a gentle pootle, and rode like a banshee!
    Putting pain into the legs once in a while certainly helps...
