It's definitely miles.

I work in market research, lots of lovely global studies where we have to visit all the markets, plus a holiday to Tanzania and one to London!

maybe i can plant a bush or something to 'offset' it...

Have not worked mine out but I did do NZ return, plus about 20-30 European trips. But I offset that carbon by cycling round NZ and Corsica!

On the subject of airmiles I have just cashed in some BA miles. Using a special 2 for 1 voucher I managed to get two return tickets to New York going first class for £623. The correct fare for two people is £15,200. I have been Club Class to the US once or twice but this is meant to be another level of obscene opulence. I shall probably be in jeans and t shirt....

only 29,640 miles for me last year.
Cyprus twice, Turkey, Malta, Spain and Uruguay....and there's little no chance of getting anywhere near that this year.
I spent 10% of my working year abroad...christ, how much for you Zimzum

Well, if you count not in the UK as abroad. I live in Singapore, and previously Lebanon, so I guess I should calculate it differently
