Got thermal tops yesterday (and towels;)) but no mens bottoms (cue witty retort:rolleyes:) left in Letchworth at least. Top is a snug fitting medium.

I raid the store whenever they have cycle stuff in. You really cant complain at their prices and apart from their overshoes everything I have bought has lasted well. I really begrudge paying top prices to advertise or just to have the "right" brand so Aldi, for me anyway, is the way to go.

Happy cycling

I picked up a pair of overshoes, then realised that they weren't a "one size fits all"......Cant imagine why I thought they would be....Doh!

Ho Hum, anyone want a pair of size 8-9 overshoes..I doubt I'll be able to find a size 11 in the store to swap with.

I picked up some clothes and the heart rate monitor which I have not tried yet. Going to give it a whirl when I go for a run later.
Well after setting my age weight etc and doing a 4.4 mile (2 miles up hill) run which is my max at the moment.
It said I used 756 calories, average heart rate 145 highest 184 and I was running 80 to 90% of my max rate. I think all them figures sound about right so thats ok

Went to the Aldi's in Selsdon (Croydon) today, lots of women's stuff left, hardly any men's .

I wanted to get the winter trousers and top........looked good for the money, but only small sizes left.....oh well.

Went to my local Aldi today and it looked like it had been sacked by a barbarian horde! Got some towels but everything else was gone, with the exception of 4 sets of LED arm bands and, I think, all of the LED light sets! I didn't get the arm bands as they are not suitable for use in heavy rain. This surprised me as I would have thought they were at their most useful.

@jonny jeez. If I can't get any today in Kingston Upon Hull, then I might take you up on the offer.

Sorry Cp, you missed out.

They will be winging their way up north to cyberknight in tomorrows post.

Every morning when cyberknight rides out with toasty toes he/she can think of me and chuckle at just how thick I am.

maybe the warming effect that will have on the cockles of my heart .....will somehow reach my own feet.

Finally managed to get to Aldi. All but sold out (no surprise there).

Did manage to get some bib trousers and a soft shell jacket, so not a complete loss.

I went there at 9am on the first morning and bought four jerseys, some bib shorts, overshoes + skull cap, XL gloves so I can wear another pair underneath, 2 pairs of socks and some thermal under layers. All for £80

Apart from new lights (AyUps) and tyres I'm all kitted out for my winter commute.

Went tonight and managed to get two pairs of gloves (which is all I wanted needed really).

There were a few bits of clothes left but nothing much.

Was in Livi last night, loads of ladies waterproof jackets and gloves, really wanted a microfibre towel
