Trump which way ?
I just did Cancun all inclusive.
A typical day would be..
Breakfast...a little meat or sardines and some salad, mostly tomatoes. Then probably an omelette, fried tomatoes, a sausage and fried potatoes, then a pancake and maybe some fruit. and cake.
Dinner...tried to avoid but occasionally a snack and an ice cream and maybe a beer or soft drink.
Evening...Soup and a small roll, then Cold meat and salad, main meal was usually fish based although buffet style allows you to pick and mix, plenty of veg, potatoes, rice or fries, then some fruit and ice cream or similar, usually with 2 or 3 beers.

Just enough beers on the beach to keep me comfortable, room had assortment of spirits, beers and soft drinks which we used as needed but didnt overdo.

I might have put a pound on or two...no more. I did use their gym a couple times and we do like to walk a fair bit.

I don't find i ever lost much fitness after a couple weeks off...on the contrary i always found i had plenty of energy, well rested i suppose.

It's the booze that does it for me. I am a teacher so 6 weeks of drinking like I am on my corporate fortnight. My liver likes it when September comes around!
Haven't put any weight on this holiday but I have compensated for by eating less!

Our was Mayan territory of course. You can't help but love em...so cheery, hard working and laid back at the same time. We had a brilliant time.
Bang on there. The same for us.

We had our suitcases thoroughly searched on arrival. They have a button everyone presses, which gives random chance of search. We were the lucky winners. All done while the lady sang along to Santana on the radio.

The best bit was that I had bought Howard Marks' book at Gatwick. All about how he smuggled $200m worth of hashish around the world. The customs lady had a good read of the cover and wished us s great holiday.

Somebody told me last week that retired DEA staff are now revealing that Marks exaggerated a lot of the stories. Mind you, since his biggest mistake was in taking the mickey out of the DEA, they would say that wouldn't they?

I go on 2 week trips to Africa where I take absolutely zero exercise and gorge on fatty hotel food, beer and peanuts; coming home my belt feels tighter but the fitness doesn't take long to recover and the weight soon drops off when I return to my normal regime.

I don't notice a drop off in fitness level, we usually keep fairly active while on holiday, with walking and swimming, not as intense as a long cycle ride though. I maybe put on a pound or so, the biggest problem seems to be trying to scale the holiday level of food and alcohol consumption back to pre holiday levels!

He says in the book that the $200m is a ridiculous figure, and that he was broke for a lot of the time. They were also chasing him for a very considerable amount of Tax, so draw your own conclusions.

I honestly think that there's an element of showmanship, exploiting the situation. I also think that there's more cash than let on. I think you're also right about the DEA points too.

EDIT: Still a good read though. Fact or Fiction.
