I used to drink black coffee but have recently stopped, now it's plenty of water throughout the day plus Ovaltine or Horlicks and hot chocolate.
Decaff coffee? ( heresy I know)I've decided to cut down on the number of cups of coffee I have a day. I want a drink (no not that sort!!!), now but it's less than 2 hours since the last one. So what alternative drinks do you recommend. I've tried the occasional herbal drink in the past but they give me indigestion if I drink too many of them.
That may be the answer but is it only the caffeine that I'm trying to avoid? Is the rest of the coffee ok?Decaff coffee? ( heresy I know)

What effects are you trying to avoid? If not the caffeine, why do you want to cut down? That may be the answer but is it only the caffeine that I'm trying to avoid? Is the rest of the coffee ok?
decaff coffee is really bad and causes headaches :-^
I was reading something at the weekend about ageing, bone density, and osteoporosis, and caffeine was suggested to remove calcium from the bones. It wasn't an in depth study of the health risks more a sort of well I ought to try a little harder to stay healthy. A friend has recently discovered she has broken her ankle in the past after it was x-rayed after another fall, she has other problems but it set the wheels ticking! She's only in her 40's.What effects are you trying to avoid? If not the caffeine, why do you want to cut down?
Honoré de BalzacName me one person who's ever died of drinking too much coffee. Just one.
If you drink proper espresso coffee - long, short or tall - you cannot drink too much.
