Thanks guyz for your comments, I thought I was in the wrong when the person in the passenger seat signal to me with her hand to move over.
Looked well positioned to me too.

I don't have anything particularly helpful to say other than doesn't the blue sky and sunshine make a difference to the videos people are posting now!

The blue sky this morning was superb  love sunny days

No, the real question is, does the Audi have a driving licence? Because if they drove like that on their test, then they wouldn't have passed. It does no harm to remind drivers that the way drive for their test is the way they are supposed to drive for the rest of their lives...

Would love to hear your opinions, so I can improve my cycling.

If you haven't already seen it, I would suggest having a read of Cyclecraft, it has lot of really useful advice.

Oh, I mean in the title and tags of the video, just in case they ever search for it. It's not going to see the light of day on Stop Smidsy.

Now that is a video with a sufficiency of shoulder checks!

haha...coming off the roundabout yes. Far more than I would probably normally do, but the rest of the way down was normal.

I'd just done that bit on a motorbike and it was nice to have better viability, with a cycle helmet rather than motorcycle helmet so I was being a bit stupid (never expecting the film to actually have any use ).

great positioning on the RaB (good solid primary to control your lane), and on the exit.
left plenty of room for the door zone and didnt faff about weaving in and out around parked cars...

Hi Norm thanks for the advice, I can hire that book from my work's library was looking at that today on my lunch but the queue was quite big and had to get to a meeting so didn't loan it out.

Did you say that you did your CBT on Saturday? I did one many years back through CJBall. Was good fun. I just ride a scooter occasionally on my driving license though. More fun cycling though

I think I have worked out what is different from our cycling....I am faster than you :smile:

The camera position isn't great but I think I took more or less the same line as you

yes I can see that you are almost the same line but very fast. What bike do you ride and if I see you about will wave

That's how I ride.

In a situation like that, I'll ride wide round parked cars and not weave back to 'secondary' between.

PS Did you see the four letters in the Audi circles?

C, U, N & T.

A nice confident line with a clueless car driver. The problem is a lot of people don't have a clue the difficulties that cyclists face so don't understand why you're doing things in a certain way. Hell most motorists don't even know what difficulties & problems THEY are facing half the time, which is kinda worrying really.

Yep! I love cycling, but when I was home for Easter there were times I really disliked not having something that used a bit of petrol .

I'm on a black specialised allez. The most common places to see me riding are near the UNI/Golden Triangle/Unthank/the ring road...the bigger clue is the muvi micro sticking up of my helmet (and possibly a rucksack if I'm going shopping).
