It's not a question of right or wrong - it's a matter of what you want to eat on your scone.

I've tried marmalade on a scone before - and probably Marmite/ Vegemite too (but none of them in "polite society" )

Yummy stuff.....as is lemon cheese! (which doesn't have curdled milk or cheese in it)

I often have lime marmalade on scones. So I see no problem with lemon curd.
