I have taken the 30 day trial period with Prime which runs out next Friday and as I am also with Netflix, I am wondering what to do as I don't see the need to keep both of them. So, which one is should I keep? I am edging towards Prime because of the "next day free delivery". TV choices don't seem to be that much different do they?

Prime is great. It's worth the money for delivery alone and the streaming is a bonus. Our kids live it as lots of kids tv on it

Keep the one that has the most stuff you like on it.

At the moment, for me, that would probably be Netflix, but, as your op indicates, the content would have less appeal to some than others.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Maybe because he doesn't want to turn it off and do something else?

I personally would go with Amazon prime every time. worth it for the postage alone, let alone Amazon prime. great TV, and films. excellent value.

Why don't you just turn off the television set and go and do something more interesting instead?
TV can be interesting if you select what you watch. There are some very well made programs . It also gives the chance to see parts of the world I couldn't afford to go to.

We have both and as a (yes I know) a Trekkie Netflix is good value but once that itch is scratched for a while we might drop Netflix. Its films are pretty dire for the most part with only a few good ones and its business model is all about making its own programming going forward. Amazon gives you free and quick delivery of orders as well as a better selection of films IMHO. Of course by subscribing you're propping up a fairly nasty tax-avoiding multinational but...er....free deliveries!

I would tend to agree with you about Netflix. I don't watch it much and when I do, I struggle to find anything to my taste.

It's a bit more complicated than that...

And you really needed to ask us whether you should stop your sub? What next? A new thread: "Should I wear my blue pants or my green pants tomorrow?"
