I think they were on #13 in the reel I watched earlier!
... but if they can still ride 150miles, it doesn't matter much ...

(On a whine note, milliones seems to have been replaced by No rest for the Wiki :banghead:

Just watched it! Much as I like her self depreciating humour, admire their ability and mental strength, having her singing while I was mending a puncture in the rain would have tested me!

Stopped for the night now. They will pass through 6,000km tomorrow. Not bad, in just under a month.

I’m sure you are correct, however I still find it slightly negative. If you’re not keen on ”influencers” you pay a lot of interest!
Having followed her channel since the beginning, if she is a so called “influencer“ it is a reluctant one. Who would turn down the opportunities she has been given? Personally I don’t think she is an influencer I think of her ( and now Kyle) more as someone who is just sharing their experiences on you tube. Sure all her sponsors are there for the coverage they get but that’s not her problem and she plays it down quite well in my opinion.

I think once she gave up her job to do cycling related content, a lot of it sponsored, then she became an influencer. She was reluctant at first but has since very much grown into it and from my opinion, lost some of the down to earth style she originally had. However, her book is well worth a read and puts a lot into perspective, so good luck to them both

Once someone's job is producing content which promotes products then I think that's the usual definition of an influencer.

Whilst I'm here, can I ask the knowledgeable whether the large Southern diversionary loop in the US is to ensure they complete sufficient miles for a record?

Suppose it also means they can add chased by an 🐊 to a days events

What's the minimum mileage / country count?

2 countries (although this is only implicit i.e. you have to pass thru 2 antipodes).

I don't THINK there is anything stopping you doing 90% of mileage in the USA. Should you so choose.(lot of tacking north+south of course!)
TBH I'm quite tempted to do that, just to trigger all the "not a real round-the-world-ride!!!" people ...

I think the standard rules are:
1. Minimum 18,000 miles,
2. Pass through 2 antipodal points and
3. No turning back on your self, so if you were going west, you can’t turn back east but you can wiggle north and south as required, just as long as you are moving forward.
4. No assistance from those outside your party, unless mandatory.
5. Two trackers and witness signatures as you need to submit each GPX and a signature booklet.
