They are following the current record holders route which to me is not around the world as it misses much of Asia.

I see it as more of riding 18k in a year, only 6k more than she does currently but travelling while doing it.

I’d have preferred if it was like Josh Kohlers ride around the world with his dad (check out his YouTube) which is going country by country and will take months, more of an adventure then an 18000 mile challenge, but interestingly will qualify as a world record as no other father and son have submitted the ride to Guiness.

Watched some of this and quite enjoyed it. Quite a bit more to watch. The thing with round the world trips is whatever way you try to do it world politics etc will always cause issues.

His film titles are horribly click-baity but I quite like the content beneath.

The problem is at the moment the world is not a terribly friendly place. Ultra Endurance cyclist Sofiane Sehili is detained in a Russian Jail for crossing the border in the wrong way. A British couple on a round the world motorbike trip are in an Iranian Jail after travelling through Iran.

These are just two example I know of at the moment of folk who have been detained, I can fully understand why Amy would want to steer well clear of certain parts of the world. Lael Wilcox also steered well clear of Russia on her recent record breaking round the world ride and whilst her route was very different from Jenny Grahams previous record breaking ride, I still wouldn't class Leal's as not being a ride around the world.

Sofiana’s was self inflicted; choose to illegally cross the border after getting refused entry at the crossing point in pursuit of the record.

I am not sure about the motorcycle couple - I suspect it is political and they have got caught in the cross fire so definitely right to be wary of Middle East territory and Russia/Ukraine.

Daft question, but what is Kyle going to do for a job if missing work for 150-180 days ? Paying the mortgage ? Assume the parent's get a big dog for 6 months ?

Isn't he a builder, just not taking any work on fot that period.

Yes, but that's a serious amount of time without income - given he's the only one working. I know these influencers paint a rose tinted life style, but there must be a worry, as free bikes, kit and foreign cycling holidays doesn't pay a mortgage/pension. Just me being sensible TBH, but I'm at the other end of my working life looking to retire and ride my bikes more.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.

Being a celeb is now Amy's job I think.

Wow, that’s another big step for her! The TdF was extraordinary, not just that she did it but she seemed very much on top of the challenge. Round the world will take them both further out of their comfort zones, not so much the cycling but the logistics and the need to adapt to unpredictable challenges. She was very structured in the TdF with diet, sleep, effort and mechanical in ways that will be more difficult outside Europe. Good luck to her and a Kyle!
