Mebbe it was the Coventry Climax engine which started off pumping water to put out fires?
Now I remember why I liked it so much.....It was fitted with a Moto Guzzi air cooled V twin.
Ideal because it was configured to mount across the bike frame, making it easy for shaft drive.
I believe the origins of that engine was for powering a fire pump.
We had them in the New Forest. Never bothered with hiring one myself as I was either on my own on a pushbike, or with the dogs in my car.
we've six (used to be dog rescue).You'd fit a doggy or two in the rear seat. My Lemmy would love it.
Oh, so HGV's cannot see small sports cars or motorbikes as well as they are similar sized to a velomobile.
