We take the mick, but foodie has the right idea - its transport, for moving people and property from A to B, and he's doing it without any money or effort wasted on the pretence of trying to impress anyone.

The speed limit is 70, fuel costs what it costs, so why spend more on motorised transport?

He uses it to tow a fiberglass shed, so definitely not.

My car does that, plus it has built in Sat Nav, a panoramic roof, climate control, cruise control, xenon lights, heated leather seats and automatic lights and wipers - oh, and it cost me 65% less than your car.

I don't understand the cheap new car, when secondhand cars are even cheaper and reliable (I accept that this wasn't always the case - I wouldn't want an Austin Maxi with as many miles on as my car!)

My folks have the top of the range Stepway. Makes the Renaults look massively overpriced for more or less the same car. Even has the Renault sat nav infotainment system. All for £10k

That's an indicated 80, so probably 75 which is only 2mph over what you'd get stopped for. Plus, Dacia instrumentation, so it's probably guessing anyway.
