...Frankie Boyle.

He's not around much at the moment. Why the sudden outburst?

I see him walking about Glasgow. Stays near me. Always looks miserable. Don't expect him to be running about grinning and cracking jokes to anyone that passes him but he looks troubled.

He was guest presenter on Buzzcocks last night.

Didn't see it. To be fair his stand up stuff is pretty funny and close to the bone if you switch off from his monotone voice

I find that Frankie Boyle's stand up is just a series of unlinked jokes that are funny but only in small doses. It's a bit tiring watching him for a whole live show, he's good with other people to bounce off (Mock the week) but not on his own for an hour solid.

Agree with the Lee Evans comment too.

Frankie Boyle is pretty funny in small doses. He hardly gets near to being 'the most unfunny comic around'. I'd agree with shouldeinbed's judgement on the winner of that competition...

Lee Evans, Harry Hill, The Pub Landlord fellow...Jo Brand, Ben Elton..I have never got to grips with these ideas, but I haven't really got a sense of humour.

I like Frankie, admit that too much is overkill, but there are certain jokes that really hit home.....the Dianna and minefield/gangbang for one.

Al Murray - Pub Landlord - a far cleverer act than many give credit for but he's now beem propelled beyond his talent level.

Ben Elton - painfully unfunny but a heck of a message sometimes

Lee Evans - why?

Hugh Dennis is one of these clever guys that just isn't funny like John Sessions. All the ingredients are there but the end result just doesn't work.

Ben Elton but he's old hat and writes crap books too

Michael McIntyre - screeches and laughs at his own 'jokes'

Peter Kay - one trick pony

Jimmy Carr - knowing, up himself

John Sessions - smug, pretentious Branagh wannabee
