Wow there! Jimmy Carr is a genuinely talented comedian, very funny.

Good grief, no. Carr is incredibly unfunny. Other ones I don't 'get' include:-

Ricky Gervais
That 'Gavin & Stacey' pair
Russell Brand
Alan Carr
Justin Lee Collins
Al Murray
Dave Spikey
Peter Kay
Harry Hill

Justin Lee Collins, often known as JLC, (born 28 July, 1974) is a British comedian, there really is no reason for his continued existence

Agreed. I caught a bit of him running around America on telly tracking down the folks who were in Fame in the 80's. It was awful. Really truly awful.
I've never liked Victoria Wood much either and can't bear it when she starts singing- if that's what you'd call it. Also at risk of sounding rather misogynistic, I can't stand that big girl who married Lenny Henry - can't remember her name (Vicar of Dibley woman). I do like Jo Brand though

It's all about opinion dude, thats why this thread is pretty redundant.
Regarding Peter Kay though, he sold 700,000 tickets on the first day for his new tour, so he must be doing something right :becool:

Jack Dee is desperately unfunny. I hope they're not planning to keep him in the ISIHAC chair. The problem seems to me that there are too many similar TV programmes relying on a supply of comedians, and not enough talent to go round. Mock the Week, for example, seems to be on whenever I get back from the pub, which is pretty often. Sometimes it's funny, and I have a soft spot for David Mitchell, but generally the format produces mediocrity, even from good comics. It has nowhere left to go. I feel a bit sorry for people like Andy Parsons - I saw him live before he was well-known on TV, because I happened to be working at the same venue at the Fringe one year. Likeable but lightweight, and he probably knows it. But I expect it's difficult to turn the regular well-paid gig down...

I'm intrigued, TC, where do you go on the occasions you don't get back from the pub?

The real problem about ISIHAC is that we're still mourning and missing Humph.

I wish I could remember, Rich.

True enough. Dee isn't especially bad on ISIHAC (he's a lousy stand-up), but he's inevitably a pale shadow. I think it's a mistake to script the same kind of gags that Humph had...

He was the best of any of the replacements so far, but it's almost an impossible challenge.

What was more interesting was how so many people thought Stephen Fry was the natural successor to HL, yet he turned out to be completely inappropriate.
