This thread makes me feel poor I earn less than most of you by the looks of it. But I deserve more than I get, even if I don't work that hard.

cheer up - most of the threads on here (esp the what do you look like ones) make me feel old. But at least you might get rich!

Amazing how nobody will give a figure. I was earning £25K gross recently which I thought was a really good salary but it was costing me £2500 after tax in commuting costs. Irelevent now as I was made redundent this year and now get £59 contribution based jobseekers allowance for 1st 6 months then nothing as I have savings and other half works. I don't think the average wage is anywhere near £24K. A lot of people I know are on £15Kish and most jobs advertized are about that mark.
