That's how I did mine Thomas

It wasn't there but I got a notification earlier that it was available to download. Completely forgot until reading this again now, so, I think it's updating now

It make any difference?

I mainly want to use google voice for sending texts, if it works...I have a different app to do it atm, but it isn't as good as the voice search one IMO.

Main thing is you can move certain apps to your SD card to free up space on the phones internal memory, on 2.1 you couldn't do this so quickly had no room for new apps

Aye, I had an interesting interpretation of, 'I'll be home for six.....'

Was that the night you got home to find the door locked and the windows shuttered, with Mrs M screaming "Three's enough! I'm warning you, I've got the nutcrackers and I'm not afraid to use them?!"

Does anyone know if you can upgrade to 2.2 on a 'Virgin' phone?
My friend has a Samsung Galaxy Apollo that was originally on T-Mobile and now has a Virgin PAYG sim in it, we tried the other day but couldn't see any options for the upgrade.
I did have to show him how to download an App, so I don't think he'll be a heavy user anyway

My upgrade thingy didn't come at the same time as yours...so I guess just wait and see.

Also, the torch on 2.2 is way better than 2.1

Samsung may be different. My wife's Galaxy S doesn't do OTA updates at all - instead you have to use the provided "Kies" software which runs on your PC. Which, I am told by everyone who has expressed an opinion to me on it, is awful
