Understand.I’m not talking about a photo, I’m talking about my actual face! It’s right there for anyone to present my phone to.
It's why when I go travelling I always disable all biometric unlock from my devices.

Yes, just done that. It seems to have worked.

Haha, same here!I set it up on my work phone but after a weekend of gardening it didn't recognise my fingerprint so gave up.

life is so much easier when one doesn't bother locking their phone.

iPhone has a little indent at the bottom of the screen & Androids work off of the side. button. AFAIK.
Our android phones (Samsung) use fingerprint recognition at the bottom of the screen.
I won’t use any biometric access functions because the key (my face or fingerprint) is freely available to anyone.
No more so than a PIN, since they would have to force your cooperation (or cut off your finger or head).
Screen seems daft - surely they would keep being accidently turned on & off?
Amputation and decapitation are extreme and unlikely! They'd simply present it to my face or finger to unlock it.
I'll continue to prefer a PIN, with a factory reset implemented on the second incorrect attempt.

Can't do that if you use modern things like Google or Apple Pay, but I know there are many abacus users on this forum.![]()
