Can't really remember the exact details as I haven't been using my Android phone for some time due to a duff battery, but I think in the settings there was an option you could select whether to use internal or SD storage when downloading or storing. It sounds like you have the internal memory only selected. I'm sure someone will be along soon with the definitive answer.

Have you tried going into your applications settings and clearing some stuff from those?
A lot of the apps on mine hold a lot of data which I clear wheneger I get around to it.

Can you access the folder from your PC?
Mind you, I've just plugged mine into a PC and can't see a folder called "other," so maybe not.

Download this -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop or another file manager then just go in and delete what ever you want.
