Is it just me or does this time of year (dark morning and evening commutes) bring out pointless aggression in motorists?
iv got hi viz on. Iv got plenty of lights. I'm a very experienced on the road. Im a fast rider, not really slowing anyone down, stick to the rules. And yet at this time of year I get constantly beeped at and abused. For no reason whatsoever.
Obviously they seem to be taking offence to sharing their road with some sort of hidious gutter peasant night vermin, riding some sort of horrid carty thing along the side of road in the dark.
I usually just smile and wave seems to work better than swearing back... but one more pointless beep and I'm in danger of turning into one of those self righteous camera cyclists.
when the sun's out everyone seems a lot nicer....
