What do you think of this?

The old man pulls right out without looking and then pulls over to speak to me. I do appreciate him pulling over for me to explain myself though.

Probably doesn't look as bad as it was due to the narrow field of view.

An angle which includes the brake levers in the shot is much more effective at showing these situations, I believe, as it shows how much you are having to slam on the brakes.

Nothing out of order with the way you spoke to him, you didn't swear and simply stated the (what should be!) obvious. Couldn't tell if it was a SMIDSY or a SMIDGAF. Be wary of what other people have warned though, if you're willing to confront, one day it'll be a driver that won't think twice of assaulting you.

Not all bad drivers are criminals, but all criminals are bad drivers

I am sorry about the way I spoke to him. I could have asked a bit nicer for him to wind his window down but with the amount that I shouted and the fact that I thought he was going to go into me, I got a bit wound up.
Apologies for the bad attitude.

That has always been the problem with this camera. That is why I have attatched it to the handlebars and not my head. When I get a job (or some birthday money), I might look into investing into a better quality one.

It was a SMIDSY. I noticed he just didnt look.
He was an old man so I figured he was just stubborn.

This is the kind of situation where an Airzound might of assisted. I could see him coming but with my position on the roundabout, I expected him to stop.
With an airzound, I could have made a little toot and brought his attention to me. The nothing would have happened.

Christmas really needs to hurry up!

You were quite restrained, given the situation. Nothing to regret on your part IMO. Take care out there.

Oh, by the way, if a driver gets aggressive just inform him that he is being filmed and repeat his reg number aloud for the record - might cool his/her heels!

We all take a leap of faith when piling into roundabouts at speed so I tend not to do it. I would say slow down and make big arm movements when indicating so the buggers can see you. As for confrontation, I've only seen confrontation with women and old folk on here ...as coppercylist says, take care or someone bigger and uglier than you will knock your lights out.

It says a lot for the decline of our society that so many people, including a serving police officer, think that that's an appropriate way for a 17 year old to address an elderly man.

I have to totally disagree with you on this point.

If the driver is too elderely to drive well he should retire from the road. If you get behind the wheel of a car age has nothing to do with the matter. If some old driver knocks me off my bike I'm supposed to give that person a by ball because of their age, I don't think so.

So you only complain to drivers who are younger than you? Gives me plenty of scope:thumbsup:
