As a lifelong skier and walker I can tell you with certainty that the loops go on the inside, where they do the job of filling any dips between the foot and the footwear.

Ah, and I thought you were a chap who would know better. The simple answer of course is to wear leather shoes with cork midsoles. They mould properly to the contours of the foot. That then means you are free to wear proper woollen or cotton rich socks, and steer clear of the vulgarity of looped towelling socks.

Nothing to do with loops, but what thoughts on bamboo socks ( no need for comments that they grow 2 sizes every day ta)

Here for rides.
Danish socks ftw!

8 identical pairs.

Folk at work think I wear the same pair every day.

Toe seam inside. Obviously.

Hang about.... if you turn them inside out, can't you achieve that by wearing them on the other foot?

Edit: by "inside" do you mean inside of sock or inside of foot?
Some come for left or right foot.
