Another Tragic Cycling Fatality

On Wednesday this week the wife told my of traffic chaos she had encountered picking up the grandchildren from school, it turned out to be a collision between a cyclist and a car.
I have just found out it was an ex clubmember who died yesterday from his injuries, he was 45 with a young family.

Very sad. It really hits hard when it's somebody you know. I've had a couple of club mates who left us and you never forget.

Sad news - the road it happened on is wide, with verges and a pavement. Not something that should be unsafe to ride on.

Not sure what happened, but someone said a car pulled out as he was coming down the hill.
