Any decent Cafe's near Burton on Trent?

I'm using up my last couple of days holidays on Monday and Tuesday and if the snow and rain holds off I thought I might try and do a decent length (for me anyway) ride of about 40 miles round trip (Mrs at work and little-un at school^_^) anybody suggest a suitable rest-break cafe about 20 miles away from Burton on Trent?

I was thinking of Rosliston but wanted to go a bit further - any ideas?

Thanks for the ideas I might try Staunton Harold or Mabel's at Curborough hall (I know it well but by car down A38) might go via Yoxall/Alrewas route. Thanks for invite on club rides might bear it mind for next year thanks.

The canal side cafe at fradley junction, great cafe.
Also skinny kitten in Barton under needwood (maybe a bit close to burton) but a great cafe for cyclists. There is even a new cycle shop over the road run by a Tour de France finisher.

Thought the weather would never clear up today, when it did I went out and tried the Skinny Cat cafe' at Barton under needwood, I would have gone a bit further but I went out bit later than I had wanted due to the rubbish weather. The coffee cake was superb and I resisted the temptation to go into cadence sport as they would have had to have mopped the floor where I drooled had I gone in. I then came back via Walton and Stapenhill. A nice 20 mile ride.

Where did you sit. They have a adults only snug area which is very nice area to chill out. The allow you to put your bike around back in the patio seating area.
If you have the milkshake or hot chocolate they are massive. Yum

My commute takes me up Cadley hill and since using the ferry bridge instead of St peters bridge I now use Saxon Street in Stapenhill a cracking short but steep hill.

Yup i know that raod, my commute takes me up woods lane in newhall, then its easy enough via bretby lane through to willington and onwards, homeward bound i come via newton solney and up the single track lane that comes out near the garden centre in bretby.
