Any experience with Scribe Race-D wheels?

Hi All,
I've been looking to upgrade my disc wheelset for a little while now. My budget is around £400 and I don't mind alloy or carbon, although I realise I probably couldn't afford carbon! I've seen this Scribe Race-D wheelset which is interesting:

Has anyone got this set? If so, what do you make of it?

I apologise because I don't have any personal experience of Scribe wheels but they have been getting some good reviews such as here:-

Also whilst you’re looking for new wheels you could also look at some additional options such as from Hope Wheels and Hunt Wheels. I'm not certain but I think that the people running Scribe may have worked at Hunt.

But at the same time don’t rule out a bespoke wheel builder. It may well turn out to be something within your budget and you’d be talking to a wheel builder and getting something tailored to your requirements. For something about this process see the link below:-

Thanks for the comprehensive answer, much appreciated! I also really like the look of some of the similarly specced hunt wheels but maybe the scribes are a little better value for money?

I've read good things about ryan builds wheels who are actually local to me 🙂 I think I'll give them a bell first before looking to buy some mass produced wheels.

After hearing lots of recommendations for DCR wheels on here, I ordered a set of his 30mm alloy rims with Sapim cx ray spokes. They were about £400 and half a kilo lighter than the standard wheels I had, been flying on them the past few weeks
