Just wondering: the national average must be about one in about 1460. For instance, there's this guy I know (a relative by marriage) about to celebrate his 19th birthday this week - and he's a granddad four times over and retired from his job as a scientist nearly two decades ago.

Apparently some websites and other computer systems throw a wobbly when they try to enter their D.O.B...

    Pirates of Penzance ahoy.

My eldest is 1st March. She was due 10 days earlier and the Mrs went into labour on 28th Feb, so she would have been if it had been a leap year. That's the closest I can do!

This 29th Feb thing. Does this mean my employers get an extra unpaid day out of me?

Not if you look at it that in the last three years you've been paid one day extra for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was exactly a month premature: 29.01.60, mind you, I do behave like a 12-year-old most of the time sometimes!

My neice was born on Feb 29th four years ago.
By law, my bro and his wife had to register her birthday as March 1st.

In England? By English law she can reckon her age as of 28th Feb each year. Which means, for example, she'll be able to buy alcohol etc. on 28th Feb 2022.

This might explain things, but I don't see what's wrong with legally registering a birthday as being the 29th February!
