Purveyor of fine nonsense
I recently applied for a job for which I am well qualified and got rejected, much to the amazement of someone who works for the organisation who had actually suggested me as being the perfect candidate. Her words after the event were, "I don't understand it, I really don't, you're perfect for the job!" She should know, she works for them in a high-up position and she'd advised me what would stand out in the CV!
I have since found out that the person who actually got the job is an incompetent f*ckwit, with half my experience, apparently everybody there is astounded that he was offered the job because now it means that they are having to do his job for him because he hasn't a clue, yet in the eyes of the management he's a golden boy who can do no wrong.
And here's the rub ... it's emerged that he is the nephew-in-law of the HR Boss Dude who is in charge of deciding who to employ ...
Nepotism or what?!
I'm not saying that I would have got the job anyway, but it seems it was a done deal from the outset and nobody else except for the nephew-in-law would have stood a chance! Any legal course of action possible, given that jobs are so hard to come by nowadays?
I currently work for myself, but having this job too would have been a godsend!
