
HV capacitor is fine and the Hv diode swapped out as well. New magnetron is £65 from AEG, which is reasonable enough to repair and put back into service , assuming it’s gubbed !!
And a new one will cost ???Probably only one way to find out. £65.........
Yes I know the size of these capacitors are indeed a big risk but it’s discharged ! I made sure !
Did they work though?We have several semi commercial microwaves at work and a couple of them had the magnetron go., there was a continuous buzzing from them. Contractor replaced the magnetron and away they went, no problem.
Yep think I will have to bite the bullet, new combo oven is gonna cost £400-500. Just wondering if the picture is sure sign it’s gubbed !
Why fit legs!Ok new magnetron fitted and managed to get one from trade supplier online . Which saved me £30! So it’s back up and running!
