I've not had a telly since 2002... it was at the bottom of a long list of things i needed, which included fridge, freezer, washing machine, bed, etc... grew to love radio 4 as an alternative and just never got round to getting one.
People did start getting pissed off with me when I said "I haven't got a telly"... but i only said it after they'd say "did you see.... ?"... however last year i did discover a website where i can download sh!t loads of British TV, old and new, so these days it's almost like having a telly again... is that cheating?
