I've not been watching it.
I saw one or two of the first series and it never grabbed me at all. I'm not sure why but it seems kind of glib, every week the world is going to come to an.............................

I've just watched the last episode on iPlayer. Wasn't overly impressed with the series, could have been done better in 6 weeks rather than 10, but I loved the ending. More observant brains than mine probably saw it coming, but in my defence, I don't even read the blurb on the back of books in case it gives something away

TBH I guessed half of it but didn't see the delightful twist at the end. I think I have spotted an ongoing thread running through the Matt Smith Doctor Who episodes though that may well have a bearing on the opening episode.

I love Torchwood but then I am also a DR Who fan.

Me too! My phone ringtone is Dr Who's theme tune, if I get a text it's K9 saying "Danger Mistress" I admit I am a complete Dr Who geek!
Loving Captain Jack being back on the screen too, but had an awkawrad moment, the other week, record the show so my bubs can watch it - Was totaly not prepared for the 'love scenes' & the questions #3 asked

Ditto the ringtone
I don't envy you explaining the Love Scene!

As a series, I liked Children of Earth, though the Owen and Tosh centric episodes in season 2 were fantastic.

Wasn't overly impressed with this latest series - too much filler. Could have been decent with half the number of episodes.

I'm also not all that keen on RTD's BIG storylines which are world changing but then instantly forgotten about. He's pulled that trick a few too many times now.

I've not watched Doctor Who since the Christmas (not-so)Special.

The Christmas ones are never special... in fact that bloody skinny singing tart is still getting up my nose (not literally).

Great series IMO, not as a good as Children of Earth, or Quatermass Revisited, as i prefer to call it.

Who mentioned Battlestar Galactica? Just started re-watching that... maybe I should get out more, then again, it is raining

Stuck with it to the end for some reason - probably that morbid fascination with watching a train wreck in slow motion. What a load of c**p. The whole thing was drawn out far too long, it spent ages on "personal interest" stories and long drawn out red herrings rather than having a plot - you got the feeling the script writers were making it up as they went. Although they had no problem with killing off loads of characters the whole plot revolved around "the whole world is collapsing but its more important I save my dad/sister/friend than save the world". The last episode was so ridiculous and full of holes - the characters had to spend ages in dialogue telling the baddies exactly what they were going to do next rather than getting on and doing it. The baddies in Buenos Aires could not shoot the goodies so a stand-off ensued rather than simply physically jumping them. And the baddies - all two of them - from the worlds most powerful mafia families would have fitted in better in an Only Fools and Horses script. The most terrifying revelation of the whole series was right at the end when it hinted at a sequel.

So apart from that you enjoyed it then?
