Anyone close to a Giant SCR

Just serviced the headset on my SCR when I have reassembled I have noticed there is a gap of 2-3mm between the fork crown and the bottom of the headtube. Took everything apart again reassembled nothing being obstructed.
Gap still there.

If you are close to a Giant SCR at the moment could you just have a look and see if you have a similar gap. Have emailed Giant but not sure how long it will take for them to reply.

If that gap is supposed to be there its a bit cacky as its easy for dirt and water to get through to the bottom bearing race.

I have a scr3, just been out to garage, the gap on mine is approx 0.75mm hope that helps

When I actually measured the gap it was 1mm it looks bigger than that, had another look this morning has to be the way its designed as its the very bottom of the crown race causing the gap.

Sent a couple of emails to Giant all got bounced back as suspected spam. Called but after listening to a ringing tone in the tech dept for 5 mins gave up.

Popped into my LBS this morning the SCR on display has the same gap.
