I'm seeing the blessed HMHB in Kendal this coming Friday night. Ron Sexsmith in Salford in September (I think). Mavis Staples at the Colne Blues Festival in August and Ken Dodd (my dad used to be his paper boy you know!) actually here in Colne in October.

Saying that, Flaming Lips lived up to all expectations on Saturday and so did the weather (thank the lord).

Saw Elbow at the NIA in March. Really good gig. And KD Lang in Brum last month.

Went to see Ruthless Blues on Sunday evening at a local arts place. A great evening by Stevie Smith and the boys. For those of you who like Blues/rock they are really good value.
