Intelligence, yes. But sadly disconnected from the real world, introverted and existing primarily in internet echo chambers

This may be of interest to some people - maybe not.

I think everyone needs to chill out and have some medicine . Some may need a few more...

Edit. Oh no, not the chills... does that mean I have the flu?

Just because you've never had flu, doesn't mean you won't get it
Apparently the average person gets it every five years, so if I get to 59 having never had it, I wonder what's the probability I've been lucky and what's the probability that I'm immune.

You have a few doses of flu to look forward to if you aim to get back to that average.

I haven't read every page on this thread but to support the importance of having the flu jab, it is not just to protect you but those around you as well.

If you have children or grandchildren that are eligible (2-8 years), please make sure that they have the nasal flu vaccine this year - the aim of this programme is to try and reduce the spread of any infection through children and not just to protect the child themselves.

PS This year most adults are being offered the quadrivalent vaccine which is offering protection against 4 strains of flu whereas we have historically only offered the trivalent vaccine so hopefully this will help improve protection *IF* people have the vaccine and not a dose of apathy!

I don't think you're going to get herd immunity from vaccinating only the most vulnerable minority.
