My brakes tend to turn into icecream in the rain (as i discovered a few days ago when I got caught out multiple days in a random downpour) so no. I have to slow right down or brake extremely early when coming to a stop and I've almost crashed into the backs of other vehicles because my brakes had no stopping power. (using koolstop dura or dura2 pads, although they're pretty old now - should really refresh them but they work well in the dry and i try to avoid wet rides when possible)
I've always enjoyed riding in the rain, not sure I'm any better though. There's something more 'daring-do' about it, more intrepid or something.
I used to deliver newspapers (by bike) as a kid for years, so I guess I got kinda used to being out in the wet. I found I used to get bigger tips too, so there was almost an incentive to it too.
