Anyone from Northern Ireland on here?

I come from the other end of the country Mizen Head / Bantry Bay area and also a excellent part of the country for cycling there are some very very steep climbs around here

Ah good old Portrushspent many a summer there before moving to England in 1981.....time has flown must make a trip back to discover all my childhood haunts in Portadown and my uni days in Belfast

I spent half the summit in Portrush in my teens. 10p for a go on the dodgems in Barry's!

My aunt used to stay in the big hotel next to it... (I'm sure it's gone now). What was it called? And we would be treated to ice cream from Morelli's. I think I remember a black and white chequered decoration in it at one point.

No, the one right by the beach, high up overlooking it, and Barry's was sort of next door, I remember going on a ghost train I think, (don't think I'm mixing it up with anywhere else.)

I know the hotel you mean but I just can't remember the name of it either. I will have to do a bit of research.

I remember in 79 when living in Portadown going for a ride via Banbridge....Newcastle...Killeel....and returning via Tandragee the trip took in the beautiful and challenging Mountains of Mourne ( I feel a song coming on )

Chances are you would cycle past my aunt's house on that route.
