Anyone going for a Christmas day ride?

I'm going to if I can get away ... trouble is, no-one else in my family rides a bike! It seems a perfect day to get out and work up an appetite for Christmas lunch on traffic-free roads during the Queen's speech!

It's now just after 6, am, dawn ism justb about breaking anb Mr Hippo is almost ready to go. Sweets loaded in the handlebar bag, Cristmas hat on the helmet and the wig & beard are ready. 30 kms circuit round the local area, handing sweets to the kids.

The only bikes I saw on the roads yesterday were the postmen's. And now, while they're having a day off, I'll be out delivering Christmas presents and cards around south London. Now, let's see, one drink per address...I may be some time...

I'll be out on the Trice shortly. The main roads are fine round here, its just the side roads that are covered in hard packed snow/ice.

I'll probably go out later. I always like to go out for a walk or a ride on Christmas day. Its not like there's anything else to do.

What is wrong with you people, it is still snowy and icy here, and I managed a ride yesterday!!
